Happy New Year!
Wishing you all a prosperous 2021.
A client informed me that he was unable to send the contact form on the Japanese site. I’ve fixed it now so it should be working properly.
While working on that, I found the English contact form had a similar issue. That has also been fixed.
The problem appears to have been due to a compatibility issue between the form builder plugin and the website builder, after the latter was recently updated.
2020 has undoubtedly been a year of change.
March marked the 10 year anniversary of Clarus Translation. Since late 2019 I had been working—in between translation and interpreting projects—on a complete overhaul of my website, including a switch to a new website builder. This included the new contact form.
One advantage of COVID-19 was that I was able to devote more energy into creating a decent website, and putting into place other efficiency measures.
While “working from home”, “remote work” and “telecommuting” became buzzwords in 2020, for me this has always been a part of the nature of translation and interpreting work.
What had changed was the proportion of such work. Last year, the global pandemic resulted in a temporary suspension of on-site interpreting work, and a decrease of work from my corporate clients. On the positive side, I was able to reconnect with old clients and gain new ones.
I look forward to serving you again in 2021.
